| In April 2004, Johnny Jones brought the idea of creating a Young Horseman’s Trainers Club to the UPHA Board. Having mentored many young people over the years, he recognized a common concern: young professionals in the industry lacked a representative voice. His goal was to encourage greater involvement in UPHA and the industry as a whole. |

The Kentucky State Fair is now accepting entries for its 122nd event, returning August 20–30, 2026, to the Kentucky Exposition Center. This year, America250-themed competitions are among the ways the fair will celebrate Kentucky's role in the nation's story. |

| The AHHS Foundation’s Youth Medallion Finals Grant was established to help offset the costs for a first time participant (age 17 and under) who wishes to attend the AHHS Youth Medallion Finals Competition at the American Royal Horse Show in Kansas City, MO. The applicant must demonstrate financial need, show a commitment to the Hackney breed, and be successful academically. |
